Technical Assistance:
Developing a listing of those children with diagnosed food allergies and dietary restrictions was discussed with the program director. The facility has not yet conducted and documented lock down drill this year.

Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 8/20/2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The inspector arrived at 11:40 AM and departed at 2:00 PM. Twenty-three children were in care with four staff. Four staff records and a sample size of five children's records were reviewed. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.

Description: Based upon review of four staff records, the facility has not ensured that all staff have current first aid/CPR certification. Evidence: 1. According to the record provided, the first aid/CPR certification for staff 4 expired 6/5/2019. 2. Staff 1 verified that staff 4 does not have current first aid/CPR certification.

Plan of Correction: The facility responded with the following: First aid/CPR training will be scheduled for staff 4.

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-580-H
Description: Based upon review of four staff records and staff interview, the facility has not ensured that staff working directly with children have completed the department's health and safety update course. Evidence: 1. None of the four staff record provided include documentation of the department's health and safety update training. 2. Staff 1 stated that she was not aware of the required update training.

Plan of Correction: The facility responded with the following: All staff will be required to complete the health and safety update training.
