Thank you for your time and assistance with the unannounced monitoring inspection conducted today, August 22, 2019. The on-site inspection was conducted from 10:40a.m. to 1:35p.m. On this date, there were 15 children in the care of two staff members in one classroom. There were a total of 20 children enrolled in the preschool program. Staff records will be reviewed in September 2019 at the MACAA Administration Office. There were five children's records reviewed. Several observations were made in the classroom. There were no violations of the licensing standards found. There were two staff members and four children interviewed. The medication and medication paperwork were reviewed for one child. The children were enjoying the second week of school and learning the daily routine. Some items observed and reviewed during the inspection included: circle time, story time, bathroom and hand washing procedures, transition to lunch, lunch, outdoor play, time with books, nap time, warm water temperature, required posted information, injury reports, first aid kit and emergency supplies, documentation of evacuation and shelter-in-place drills, current health and fire inspections.
