Comments:
An announced inspection was conducted at request of licensee for measurements and inspection of new designated program space. Inspection began at 11:15 am and ended at 12:40 pm. Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-B
Description: Based on observation and staff interviews, the licensee did not ensure hazardous substances such as cleaning materials, insecticides, and pesticides shall be kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children. If a key is used, the key shall not be accessible to the children.

Evidence: In the Toddler #1 room, in an unlocked cabinet there were two containers of disinfectant wipes, one spray container of disinfectant, one spray container of bleach, and one container of sanitizing tables all were labeled "keep out of reach of children" and at least one other statement "caution", "flammable", "hazardous" and "warning".

Plan of Correction: A contractor is on his way to install the cabinet locks for every cabinet in the toddler 1 classroom this afternoon.
