A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted today from 6:55am to 8:25am to review supplemental health and safety requirements. A total of 20 children were present with 3 caregivers. The children were engaged in the following: engaging in tabletop activities, doing puzzles, playing a group game, and completing an art activity. Programming, menus, emergency procedures, 4 medications, and 6 children?s records and 4 staff records were reviewed.
A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-665-520-B-11 Description: Based on staff interview, review of children's records, and review of medications, it was determined that not all children with diagnosed food allergies had documentation of a written allergy care plan on file.
Evidence:
1. Child #6 has a diagnosed food allergy and has an emergency medication on site and did not have a written allergy care plan signed by a physician on file.Plan of Correction: I will ask the parent to get that completed and signed by a doctor.
