An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 9:50am-11:20am. There were 7 children directly supervised by the director and one co-op parent. The physical plant, programming, 2 staff records, 4 children?s records, 1 medication, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed playing in centers, engaging in sensory play, building with blocks, and participating in gym activities. Positive interactions between children and staff were observed during this inspection. There was an abundant supply of age appropriate materials for the children and the center was clean and organized. The director is current in MAT (Medication Administration Training) and CPR/First Aid certification. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-160-C Description: Based on record review, the center has not obtained updated tuberculosis screening or testing for a staff within the last 2 years.
Evidence:
1. Staff #1's last tuberculosis test on file is dated 7/20/17.Plan of Correction: I will go and get an updated TB test.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A Description: Based on review of 4 children's records, 4 children's records did not contain all required information.
Evidence:
1. Child #1, Child #2, and Child #3's records did not contain documentation of the parents' annual review of emergency contact information. Child #1 and Child #2's files last had a documented review of emergency contact information on 4/19/18 and Child #3's file last had a documented review of emergency contact information on 2/1/17.
2. Child #4 (Date of Enrollment: 9/4/19) did not have immunizations on file the first day of attendance.Plan of Correction: I will have all parents review emergency contact information and update the forms today. I will get the immunizations by next Tuesday.
