Subsidy Approved Vendors are required to notify the department of the occurrence of an Injury Requiring Outside Medical Treatment (IROMT) as soon as practicable, but not to exceed two (2) business days of the occurrence. Serious Injury means an injury of a child while under the care of a center that requires outside medical treatment.

Comments:
An unannounced subsidy complaint inspection was conducted on August 16, 2019 in response to a complaint regarding allegations of a serious injury that occurred at the center. Based on staff interviews and documentation reviewed, the preponderance of the evidence gathered during the investigation supports the allegation. Therefore, the complaint is determined to be valid. If you have any questions about this inspection, please contact me at 804-662-9766 or e-mail tara.barton@dss.virginia.gov.
