An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 10:00am-12:15pm. There were 36 children directly supervised by 7 staff. The physical plant, 5 staff records, 5 children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play, reading books, playing outside, and practicing fine motor skills through manipulatives. There was a supply of materials for the children. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Evidence: 1 of 5 records check was not complete. Staff 1 is missing an application/resume, documentation of orientation, and documented start date.Plan of Correction: We will collect all missing information and place it in the record.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-80-A Description: Based on record review, the center did not maintain written record of attendance for each classroom daily.
Evidence: In the Hibiscus classroom, 12 children were not marked in attendance of the 14 children in care.Plan of Correction: Attendance was taken at the time of inspection.
