The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced unannounced subsidy health and safety inspection Tuesday, September 10, 2019 from 11:00am to 3:30pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The children were observed engaged in a variety of activities ranging from eating lunch, resting on cots, and playing with toys.
Five children's records and five staff records were reviewed during this inspection.
The center's first aid kit and emergency supplies were inspected.

Today, the following child to staff ratios were observed:

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-540-A Description: Based on a review of staff records on 09/10/2019, the center did not ensure that staff shall be evaluated by a health professional and be issued a statement that the individual is determined to be free of communicable tuberculosis (TB) within the last 30 calendar days of the date of employment.
EVIDENCE:
The tb screening in the record of Staff #5, whose date of hire was 05/28/2019, is dated 03/27/2019.Plan of Correction: Will be sure that all new hires have tb in the right time frame.
