Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-B Description: Based on observation, it was determined that hazardous substances were not kept locked.
Evidence:
The Licensing Inspector observed two containers of sanitizing solution and disinfectant wipes unlocked in a cabinet in the 3/4 year old classroom.Plan of Correction: We will retrain all staff on the importance of keeping hazardous substances locked.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-330-B Description: Based on observation, it was determined that there was not at least six inches of mulch underneath and surrounding outside play equipment..
Evidence:
The Licensing Inspector observed compacted mulch and mulch that had turned to soil underneath and surrounding the two merry-go-rounds on the 2/3 year old playground, consequently the mulch was no longer considered a resilient surface.Plan of Correction: We will place the merry go rounds off limits until we can either rake or add additional mulch to ensure at least 6 inches underneath and surrounding the play equipment.
