Unannounced focused inspection conducted this date. The purpose of the inspection was to focus on violations found during the renewal inspection in July and the Provisional status of the license. A total of 54 children with 10 staff present today. When the Inspector arrived, the children were napping. Staff observed present in the classrooms and positioned strategically to ensure adequate supervision. Walk thru of all occupied classes was completed. Classroom walls were decorated with projects/artwork completed by children that were current and consistent with the weekly lesson plan. Staff interviews conducted and a review of the Center's own policies on transitions of children were reviewed. The center has been freshly painted throughout the campus, new equipment and programming equipment have been purchased. The previous violations from the renewal inspection were reviewed and corrections noted within the provided corrective action date. One correction remains in progress regarding lead qualifications.
