Technical Assistance:
Stained ceiling tiles need to be replaced and you must ensure that any water damage that caused the stain and/or warping of the tiles are addressed and corrected.

Standard 500B2 states that there shall be sight and sound supervision for all children when a child is being diapered. Make sure all staff can see and hear all of the children in the classroom when they are in the act of diapering one child. Staff placement to include facing all of the children when diapering is key.

Ratios can double at nap time for the 2/3/4 year old children however when half of the children awaken, the expectation is that you immediately come back in ratio.

Crib sheets shall be well-fitted, poorly fitted sheets can lead to smothering, entrapment or strangulation.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today with the owner/director from 2:30 pm until 3: 50 pm. Twenty five children were present with 4 staff providing supervision. The children had awaken from their nap at the beginning of the inspection. One staff file was reviewed as well as physical plant, attendance log, playground, overall supervision and ratios and safe sleep environment for the infants.
