Technical Assistance:
Discussed process for changing license information, sleep requirements, and board member concerns.

Comments:
A mandated monitoring inspection was conducted today. There were 64 children present with 15 staff. Children were observed playing on the play ground, having circle time, reading books, playing in a water table, having snack, playing in a sensory table, and sorting apples. Reviewed 5 children files, fire inspection, attendance, emergency evacuation log, first aid kit, medications and authorizations, and physical plant. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-H
Description: Based on observation and interview with staff, cosmetics, medications, or other harmful agents were being stored in purses that were accessible to children.
Evidence:
Observed 2 teacher purses in Room #1 and 2 teacher purses in Room #2 being stored on the floor in an unlocked closet with potentially harmful agents in them.

Plan of Correction: We will purchase locks for the closets.
