Technical Assistance:
Discussed the terms of their license to include serving children between the ages of 3 to 5.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today with the director and administrative staff from 10 am until 11:15 am. Eighteen children between the age of 4 and 5 were present. The children were in a group working on identifying words that start with the letter "B". Afterward they transitioned to their morning snack which consisted of bananas, graham crackers and water. After snack, the staff and children left for their nature walk on the trail.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-240-A
Description: Based on a review of four staff files and an interview with Administration, it was determined that staff A (hired 9/11/19) did not have orientation training of file by the end of the first day of assuming job responsibilities.

Plan of Correction: If we can locate Staff A's training we will place in the file, otherwise we will give her orientation training and make sure we document the training in the file.
