A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on September 25, 2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. New subsidy requirements became effective on October 17, 2018. The on-site inspection was from 10:00 a.m. to 2:55 p.m. On this date, there were 41 children present in four classrooms and in the care of eight staff members. There was one additional staff member available to assist if needed. There were 43 children enrolled in the center. Five staff members' records and five children's records were reviewed. All four classrooms were toured and observations were made in two of those classrooms. Six staff members and five children were interviewed. The medication and medication paperwork were reviewed for three children.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
