An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 10:30am-12:30pm. There were 26 children (3 yrs. - 4 yrs.) directly supervised by 4 staff. The physical plant, 6 staff records, 5 children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in large group activities, centers, working on crafts, doing puzzles, building with large blocks, and eating snack. Hand-washing procedures were also observed. There was an abundant supply of materials for the children. There was an adequate number of staff with current certification in MAT, CPR and First Aid training. Staff-to-child ratios were in compliance. The center was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified on the Violation Notice.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-160-C Description: Based on record review, the center did not obtain documentation of a current tuberculosis (TB) screening or testing, for each staff member, at least every two years from the date of the last screening or testing.
Evidence:
Staff#6's record has a TB test/screening on file that was last updated on 12/11/2016.Plan of Correction: We will notify the staff member today, and we'll ask them to get it done as soon as possible.
