Today an unannounced Renewal Inspection was conducted between the hours of 10:15am and 11:15am. There was one classrooms observed with a total of 20 children with 5 staff within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed listening to story time, washing their hands, eating a morning snack (apples, graham crackers and avocado) and other organized activities. A complete inspection of the physical plant, children and staff records, fire drill log and emergency procedures were observed during this inspection. Evidence: Upon request, the center did not maintain public liability insurance.Plan of Correction: Insurance documentation sent to inspector on 10/1/2019. A copy will be kept on site as well.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-550-E Description: Based on record review and interview, the center did not maintain a record of the dates of practiced drills.
Evidence: There is no record of an evacuation drill being practiced during the month of September. The program teacher stated that a drill was practiced but they had forgotten to document it.Plan of Correction: This was corrected during the inspection.
