Comments:
A subsidy health and safety inspection was completed on September 26, 2019 from approximately 12:45 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. to review supplemental health and safety requirements. One hundred and twenty-four children were in care and approximately nineteen staff were on premises during the inspection. Staff and children were observed in classrooms engaged in activities to include activities for infants, nap time, transitioning from nap time, and reading books. Interviews and interactions were conducted and medications were reviewed. Ten children?s records and five staff records were reviewed. The director and assistant director were available for the inspection and the director was present at the exit interview at which time inspection findings were reviewed and an Acknowledgement of Inspection form was signed and left with the licensee.

A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection and are identified on the violation notice.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-500-F
Description: Based on observation, the licensee failed to keep a current written list of all children's allergies, sensitivities, and dietary restrictions confidential.
Evidence: 1. Lists of children's allergies, sensitivities, and dietary restrictions were observed in each classroom. At least two of the lists were posted in a manner in which they were not kept confidential. 2. Administrator #1 acknowledged these lists were not kept confidential.

Plan of Correction: This was corrected on site by the director who made the lists confidential.
