An unannounced focused monitoring inspection was conducted on October 4, 2019 to determine compliance with previous violations. The children were doing a Fall art project, eating lunch, and preparing for rest. Lunch served today: hot dogs, french fries, applesauce (or slices), and milk. Reportedly, there are no medications on site today. Four staff renewed Medication Administration Training on 8/23/2019. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-70-A Description: Based on review of four staff files, the facility failed to have documentation of two or more references as to character and reputation as well as competency were checked before employment or volunteering. Documentation of two references could not be located for Staff 2 (date of hire 8/5/2019). Plan of Correction: If the references can not be located, center administration will obtain two more references.
