Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 7:30 am-8:45 am. There were a total of 31 children with 4 staff members present. Children were observed arriving to the program, painting, making community mask and games in the Gym. A selection of staff training and children records, medications and other documents were reviewed. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-C
Description: Based on a review of medications, the center has not followed their procedure for administering medication by Long-term prescription drug use and over-the-counter medication may be allowed with written authorization from the child's physician and parent.
Evidence: Child #1 long term medication form dated 8/23/19 is not signed by the physician.

Plan of Correction: A copy of the form was given to the parent this morning to obtain a written signature by the Physician.
