An unannounced monitoring inspection was completed on 10/17/2019. There were 10 children, ages 5 months-4 years, and 5 staff present during the inspection. The inspector reviewed 5 children's records and 5 staff records the inspection. The staff stated that medication is not administered at this time. Children were observed in the following activities: during center/free choice play, having lunch and during nap. The inspector reviewed the emergency supplies during the inspection. The inspector discussed the following with the staff: subsidy and background checks. Standard #: 22VAC40-191-60-C-2 Description: Based on record review and discussion with the staff, the facility failed to obtain a central registry finding within 30 days of employment.
Evidence: The record for Staff #4 had a documented hire date of 05/13/2019; the date on the central registry findings for Staff #4 was 06/25/2019.Plan of Correction: When the findings do not come back in time, the program director will call and document it.
