Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on Thursday, October 17, 2019 from 10:50am to approximately 2:10pm. The center?s director was present and assisted the licensing inspector throughout the inspection. The census for today?s inspection consisted of 87 children in the direct care of 16 staff members. Additional staff were present and available to the children in care. Upon the inspector?s arrival, the children were engaged in a variety of activities. The children in the Infant 1 and Infant 2 classrooms were observed playing with manipulatives, being held or fed by caregivers, and sleeping in cribs. The preschool children were observed playing outside, eating lunch, taking bathroom breaks, washing hands, and preparing for nap time. Staff were observed having positive interactions with the children. The playgrounds were inspected. The classrooms are decorated with the children?s artwork and are equipped with age and stage appropriate materials. The center had the following posted: license, daily schedule, emergency numbers, evacuation maps, menu and various parent information. The first aid-kit and non-emergency supplies were observed and found complete. Eight children?s records, four medications and authorizations, and eleven staff records were reviewed and found to be in compliance. The most recent fire inspection was documented on 06/04/2019. The most recent health inspection was documented on 05/23/2019. The last evacuation drill was documented on 09/18/2019 and two shelter-in-place drills were documented on 03/26/2019 and 09/18/2019. The licensing inspector was informed that there are no school-age children enrolled at the center at this time and transportation is not provided. There were no violations found during today?s inspection.
