An unannounced focus inspection was conducted today between 12:30 pm and 1:45 pm. There were 17 children present with 4 staff members. The physical plant was the focus of this inspection. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-B Description: Based on observation, the center failed to ensure that hazardous substances shall be kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.
Evidence:
The common bathroom area disinfectant spray and bleach wipes were stored on a shelf but not in a locked place.Plan of Correction: Corrected during inspection.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-290-3 Description: Based on observation, the center failed to ensure that electrical outlets shall have protective covers that are of a size that cannot be swallowed by children.

In the cubby area of the center, there were eight electrical outlets without protective covers.Plan of Correction: Corrected during inspection.
