63.2(17) License & Registration Procedures

Technical Assistance:
Provided consultation on safe sleep, and the use of tight fitting sheets on cribs. Heavy blankets and comforters are not permitted in cribs with infants.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 10:15 am - 1:00 pm with the center director and assistant director. There were 63 children, ranging from three months to four years of age, supervised by 11 staff. Children were observed having free play, reading books, completing arts and crafts projects, playing outside on the playground and napping. Lunch served today was whole wheat chicken quesadillas, peas, pineapple and milk. Six children's files and five staff files were reviewed and in compliance. There were no medications to review, however several staff have current Medication Administration Training (MAT) certification. The last fire drill was conducted: 9/30/19, the last shelter-in-place drill was conducted: 6/21/19 and the last lock down drill was conducted: 9/20/19.
