Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted between 10:45 am and 12:00 pm. A sample of 2 staff and 2 children's records were reviewed. There were 2 classes on a field trip during the inspection. Preschool children were observed in classrooms playing in learning centers and interacting with staff. Infants and toddlers were observed sleeping in cribs, being fed in a high chair and being held.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-570-I
Description: Based on observation and interview the center did not ensure all special feeding requirements were met.
Evidence:
The infant room had powdered emergency formula for the babies to use in the event of an emergency. Staff confirmed they did not have a a water source that to take with them in an emergency so that the formula could be made.

Plan of Correction: The following corrective action was provided by the infant staff during the exit interview.
Infant staff will request a gallon of water be kept in the classroom to take with them in the event of an emergency so that the formula could be made.
