Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from approximately 2:10 pm-3:30 pm. There were 168 children in the direct care and supervision of 13 staff. A sample of 5 children?s records and 13 staff records were reviewed. The children were observed entering the program, eating snack, doing art playing on the playground and being picked up by parents. The center no longer uses the pods for a central dismissal location, all children are now dismissed from school into the one area. One new staff member has been hired since the last inspection. Areas of non-compliance are identified in this report. The exit interview was conducted with the teacher. If you have any questions, contact Kimberly.Sawyer@dss.virginia.gov.

Description: Based on observation, evidence of insurance coverage was not made available to the department's representative upon request.

Evidence:
1. The center did not have proof of current liability insurance upon request.
2. The liability insurance available expired 09/01/2018.

Plan of Correction: A photo of current insurance was sent to inspector after the visit was complete.
