A number of children were observed needed extra care, attention and guidance either due to behavioral or emotional needs. Being in ratio is required but additional staff will need to be added to ensure that all of the children's needs are addressed and proper guidance and direction is given.
Staff must document all persistent behavioral issues to include what steps the staff/center have taken to address these behaviors.
Please make sure you are using positive worded direction when redirecting or correcting behavioral issues.
Behavioral guidance needs to encourage decision making abilities, promote ways of getting along and use consistency in applying expectations, with a goal of redirecting children to appropriate behaviors.

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted with the director, who was present with one additional staff and 31 children. The children were eating their "supper" which consisted of lasagna, salad, apple and milk. Afterward, several groups took turns going to the bathroom, upon returning to the cafeteria, the staff took name to face attendance and transitioned into playing on the tablets and indoor ball games. There were no violation observed during this inspection.
