A complaint was received involving not following hand washing procedures and not emptying toilet chairs. Interviews and observation were conducted and part of the complaint was determined to be valid.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-500-C Complaint related: Yes Description: Based on observation and interview,s it was determined that toilet chairs were not emptied promptly after each use.
Evidence:
The Licensing Inspector observed two toilet chairs with urine in the two year old classroom at approximately 1:20 pm. Interviews revealed that the two children had used the potty chairs over an hour earlier.Plan of Correction: We will no longer use toddler toilet chairs in the classroom, children will be escorted to the bathroom for potty training by Friday.
In the meantime we will empty the toilet chairs promptly.
