Thank you for your time and assistance with the unannounced monitoring inspection conducted today, October 21, 2018. The on- site inspection was from 9:15a.m. to 11:40a.m. On this date, in the four-year-old class, there were 18 children in the care of three staff members. There were a total of 35 children enrolled in the morning preschool program. There were three staff members' and three substitute staff members' records reviewed and five children's records reviewed. Three staff members and three children were interviewed. There was no medication on-site or being administrated, which is the policy of the preschool. There were no violations of the licensing standards. The theme for the week was Fire Safety. The children enjoyed practicing Stop, Drop and Roll and the visit from the County Fire Department. The firefighters showed the children how they dress to go into a fire and the children were able to climb in the fire truck. Snack was observed to meet USDA guidelines. Some items reviewed and observed included: required posted information, first aid and emergency supplies, warm water temperature, updated emergency preparedness plan, updated annual health and fire inspections, liability insurance documentation, choice time, opening circle, outdoor time, story time, songs and movement activities, hand washing and bathroom procedures, snack, and dismissal procedures.
