An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 10/10/2019 from approximately 9:35am to 11:10am. 55 children were directly supervised by 11 staff members. Ratios remained in compliance throughout the inspection.The physical space, 6 children's records, 5 staff records, evacuation drills, medications, attendance, daily reports for infants, injury reports and required posted documents were reviewed. Children were observed in circle time activities, discussing senses, writing in booklets, playing with age appropriate materials and interacting with staff. Interactions were positive. Walls were decorated with developmentally appropriated artwork. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-191-60-D-1 Description: Based on record review and interview with staff, 1 out of 5 staff records did not have the results of the Central Registry Search and had not followed up as required. The code states "If a requested report was sent within seven calendar days but was not returned within 30 days, the requester must contact within four working days."
Evidence: Staff #1 was hired on 8/12/2019. The Central Registry Search was sent in on 8/12/2019. It was returned due to error and sent back on 9/20/2019. As of today, 10/30/2019, no results have been returned and there was no follow up.Plan of Correction: I will contact them today for follow up and forward the information to my Licensing Inspector.
