Thank you for your time and assistance with the unannounced monitoring inspection conducted October 30, 2019. The on-site inspection was from 1:00 p.m. to 4:25 p.m. On this date, there were 108 children present and in the care of 16 staff members. Three additional staff members were available to assist if needed. There were 114 children enrolled in the center. There were nine staff members' records reviewed, ten children's records reviewed, and seven classrooms toured. Four of those classrooms were observed. There were ten staff members and six children interviewed. The medication and medication paperwork were reviewed for five children. Snack was observed to meet USDA guidelines and consisted of crackers and applesauce. The themes for the week were Fall and Farms. There were an ample supply of educational toys and equipment. The behavioral guidance observed was age appropriate and positive. Some of items reviewed and observed during the visit included: first aid kit and emergency supplies, updated annual health inspection, documentation of evacuation and shelter-in-place drills, required posted information, resilient surfacing on the playground playground, warm water temperature, nap time, transitions, snack, painting activities and other art activities, language art activities, singing, story time, free play, and dismissal procedures.
