Technical Assistance:
1. Reviewed the importance of including the year on documents with dates. 2. Discussed the need for a consistent medication policy, and how that should be documented. 3. Reviewed/trained vendor on new subsidy regulations and training. 4. Discussed the requirements for keeping children's information confidential.

Comments:
1:20-2:35pm Conducted an unannounced annual subsidy inspection. Observed 1 child = 4 points with the vendor. Ratios and supervision were in compliance. Additional household members were present in the home today. The child was playing with toys and being held during the inspection. Diaper changing was observed and found to be in compliance today. The home was found to be very clean, safeguarded appropriately, and sufficiently supplied with toys and equipment for the children. The upper level of the home was not inspected today, as the vendor was recovering from recent surgery and walking the stairs was difficult and care is not provided on that level of the home. The vendor is currently certified in First Aid/CPR . Administrative and safety non-compliances found.

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-160-B
Description: Based on records reviewed, it was determined that a written hard copy record of daily attendance that documents the arrival and departure of children in care as it occurs. Evidence: There was no record of attendance for the period of 5/5/19-6/5/19. The vendor said this was due to her family members helping with attendance during that time when she was recovering from a health issue.

Plan of Correction: The vendor said she was sorry, and would be sure that daily attendance is recorded.

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-260-A-3
Description: Based on observations made, it was determined that the hot water temperature exceeded 120 degrees. Evidence: The hot water temperature was measured to be 138.7 degrees today.

Plan of Correction: The vendor said they are concerned about having not enough hot water for the family, and that she stays with the children when they wash hands to be sure cold water is also turned on.
