An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from approximately 11:45am and 12:45pm. 42 children were present with 2 staff at the beginning of the inspection. Today was a Teacher Work Day. The physical space, attendance, 5 children's records, staff records, evacuation drills, medications and required posted documents were reviewed. Children were observed on the playground, washing hands, eating lunch and reading. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-350-A Description: Based on observation and interview with staff, the required staff-to-child ratios were not followed.
Evidence: At the beginning of the inspection (approximately 11:45am), 42 children were present with 2 staff members. An additional staff member joined the facility (12:35pm) approximately 50 minutes after the beginning of the inspection.Plan of Correction: I will continue to do what I'm supposed to do and notify the SACC office when I foresee ratio problems.
