63.2 Child Abuse & Neglect

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 9:20am to 11:30am with the Director and Assistant Director. There were 38 children in care ranging from three months to five years of age supervised by six staff. Infants were observed having tummy time and playing on the floor; two year olds and three year olds were observed eating snack which consisted of yogurt and apple juice and then washing hands; and the PreK class was observed playing with the new kitchen and pretend food. Five children?s files and five staff files were reviewed. The Center has adequate staff certified in CPR, First Aid, and Daily Health Observation. The Director reported that there is currently no medication at the center, but there are two staff current in Medication Administration Training (MAT). The emergency drill log was reviewed and in compliance. The first aid kit, flashlight, and battery operated radio were observed. The most recent Fire Inspection was conducted 7/23/19 and the most recent Health Inspection was conducted 1/10/19.
