Comments:
An unannounced non-mandated monitoring inspection was conducted 11/7/2019. There were 85 children present with 27 staff. The inspector arrived at 7:50 A.M. and departed the program at 11 A.M. The inspector reviewed 12 staff's records and two medications.

Observed the children during arrival, free play, breakfast and outdoor time.

Description: Based on observation, the center failed to ensure that when any surface become contaminated with body fluids it is cleaned and sanitized.

Evidence:
1. Observed a infant spit up on the floor and the staff person used a sanitizing spray to clean the body fluid up. The standard required for the contaminated areas to be cleaned with a soap and water and then sanitized and allowed to air dry.

Plan of Correction: The site director will go over the procedures for handling body fluids with staff and will make sure that all areas are cleaned and sanitized.

Description: Based on observation, the center failed to ensure that all hands were washed as required by the standard.

Evidence:
1. Observed in classroom D the hands of a infant was not washed or a disposable wipe used after feeding the infant a bottle.

Plan of Correction: The site director informed the staff that hand washing is required before and after each meal or snack this includes bottles.
