A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted from 8:15am-9:15am to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 36 children at the start of the inspection, more children arrived during the inspection for a total of 50 with 4 staff members. A sample size of 6 children's records, 4 staff records, 6 injury reports, 6 emergency medications, the first aid kit, emergency materials, and the physical plant were reviewed. The children were observed playing pool, coloring pictures, playing games, and packing up to be dismissed for school.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
