Thank you for your assistance during this unannounced monitoring inspection. This onsite visit was conducted on November 13, 2019 from 10:50 am to 1:30 pm. There were 43 children in the care of 6 staff members. Five children and four staff records were reviewed and updated. Medication and medication paperwork was reviewed for one child. Areas of non-compliance may be found on the violation page.
Program activities, daily routines, staff interactions with children, posted information, emergency supplies and drill logs, snack/menu, circle time (stories and songs), departure/pick-up of children, classrooms and the outdoor playground areas were observed/reviewed. Lunches were provided by the children's parents. Interactions with the children were positive.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-500-A Description: Based on observation the center failed to have one staff member wash hands before beginning diapering one child.
Evidence: 1. One child was observed being diapered. 2. Staff #1 was observed not washing her hands before beginning diapering one child. 3. Staff confirmed hands were not washed prior to the diaper change of one child.Plan of Correction: Diapering procedures will be reviewed with staff and procedures will be posted.
