Technical Assistance:
Technical assistance today included allergy action plans.

Comments:
An unannounced safety and health monitoring inspection was conducted today at the center. I observed children busy with projects, building with Legos and listening to a story. I also observed the beginning of lunch and naptime. This inspection, along with the previous inspection for the Virginia licensing standards, meets the requirements for the SSHI inspection. If you have any questions, please contact me at brenda.kuhlman@dss.virginia.gov

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-520-B-5
Description: Based on a review of children's files today, there was inadequate information documented concerning actions to take in the event of an emergency allergy situation.
Evidence:
The current allergy action plan list was last updated 7/19 and did not have actions to take for Child # 1, 2, 3 and 4 as required.

Plan of Correction: We will update the center-wide allergy action plan and individual authorizations.
