A subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on December 3, 2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. This on-site visit was conducted on 10:30 a.m. through 1:00 p.m. There were forty-seven children and nine staff members. Five children and five staff records were reviewed and updated. The medication and medication paperwork were reviewed for one child. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
The areas observed today were educational centers, story time, arts and crafts, hand washing, bathroom procedures, lunch, transitions, and emergency supplies were reviewed. Interactions between children and staff were observed as positive and the children seem comfortable with the daily routine and schedule.
