Comments:
An announced initial inspection was completed on December 3, 2019 from approximately 2:00 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. Five staff and one corporate member record, the emergency preparedness plan, policies and procedures, and required postings were reviewed. The physical space, programs, nutrition, and the first aid and emergency supplies were inspected. The center does not currently provide transportation or administer medication. The owner/program leader was available for interview, the inspection and was present at the exit interview at which time inspection findings were reviewed and an Acknowledgement of Inspection form was signed and left. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-320-B
Description: Based on observation, the licensee failed to ensure that the sinks in restrooms used by children are supplied with water that does not exceed 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
Evidence: 1. The temperature of the water from the sinks, in the restrooms used by children, was measured and was observed to be 124 degrees Fahrenheit. 2. Administrator #1 acknowledged the water temperature was too hot.

Plan of Correction: The owner will contact the maintenance staff and have them show her how to adjust the temperature. The owner will adjust the temperature to the required degree before children are in care.
