An announced initial inspection was conducted today, November 26, 2019 to determine the applicants compliance with child day center standards. The inspection was initiated at 9:30 am and concluded at 1:15 pm. The inspection was conducted with the owner and corporate office representative. The program director was also in attendance. The facility plans to provide care to children birth to twelve years in age. At this time transportation will not be provided by the center. Measurements of the facility determined a capacity of 153 children. Care will be provided on two floors. All classrooms areas were equipped with age appropriate equipment and materials. The facility will provide meals. The facility plans to administer medications with proper authorization. One staff has obtained MAT certification. Standards related to supervision and program could not be determined as the facility is not yet fully operational. Policies and procedures were reviewed along with the emergency preparedness plan. Coverage of CPR, First aid certification and daily health were verified. The facilities first aid kit and non-medical emergency supplies for both floors were inspected and found complete. The playground areas for infants, preschool and school age children were inspected.
