Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 12/09/19 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted between the hours of 8:00am and 11:00am. Upon arrival there were 40 children in care with 11 staff present. A sample of 5 staff and 4 children's records were reviewed. Children were observed eating snack, during handwashing,and circle time. Infants were observed in cribs and bouncers.A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.

Description: Based on a record review the vendor did not ensure all required components were included in the emergency preparedness plan.
Evidence:
The vendor did not have a procedure to address reunification of children to parents or the continuity of operations procedure to ensure the essential functions of the center are maintained in the event of an emergency.

Plan of Correction: The following corrective action was provided by the vendor during the exit interview:
The required policies will be incorporated into the center's already existing emergency plan.
