An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today.
Ninety-eight children were in care with 15 classroom staff, an administrator and a cook.
Children were having a snack, playing in the garden room and resting.
Previous violations, medications, ten children's files and six staff files were reviewed.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-330-B Description: Based on the review of the outdoor play area the facility failed to ensure that the fall zone shall encompass sufficient area to include the child's trajectory in the event of a fall while the equipment is in use and the the zones shall not include barriers for resilient surfacing.
Evidence:
1. The fall zone around the green tomcat riding toy is approximately 3-4 feet and includes landscape timbers.
2. The fall zone at the end of the teal slide does not meet the required length of height of the slide (seven feet) plus four feet for a total of 11 feet.. The fall zone is approximately 8 feet.
3. The gray climbing wall is within the fall zone for the beige slide.Plan of Correction: We will stay off the playground until these items are fixed.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-330-C Description: Based on the review of the outdoor play area the facility failed to ensure that ground supports are covered by resilient surface material.
Evidence:
1. At the end of the yellow slide, the concrete base is showing through the rubber mulch.Plan of Correction: We will stay off the playground until these items are fixed.
