An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 8:50 am-11:30. There were a total of 70 children with 18 staff members present. Children were observed during breakfast time, diapering and hand washing, sensory painting, and out door play. A selection of staff and children records, medications and other documents were reviewed. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-570-A Description: Based on observation, children are placed in a feeding table, the protective belt was not fastened securely.
Evidence: In the older infant classroom, eight children were observed sitting at a feeding table eating breakfast. The safety belts were not fastened.Plan of Correction: Manager will immediately retrain staff. Manager will will make classroom observations to ensure that children are buckled into seats.
