An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted beginning at 7:30 a.m. to 8:35 a.m. with the director and three staff. There were 52 children in care ranging in age from 5 years to 10 years old. Children were observed during transition from zones. Zones today included art and cartooning. After transition, children prepared for roll call and the AlphaBEST pledge. Children and staff were observed particiating in a 'verbal journal' activity. Children then went to breakfast.
Emergency drills were posted and up to date. Three staff records and five children's records were reviewed. Six medications and authorizations were reviewed. Staff training hours were reviewed. .
