Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-H
Description: Based on observation of the Toddler 1 and 2 classrooms, harmful agents were found accessible to children.
Evidence: In both classrooms, sharp scissors were found on lower shelves that were accessible to the children in care.

Plan of Correction: Staff in both these classrooms secured the scissors in an area that is not accessible to children in care.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-500-B
Description: Based on observation and staff statement, the diapering area in the Toddler 1 and 2 classroom did not include a sink with running warm water.
Evidence: The portable sink located between these two classrooms does not have adequate warm running water to wash both staff and children's hands after diapering.

Plan of Correction: We will replace this portable sink and will use the hall bathroom for washing hands until the replacement is installed.
