The Licensing Inspectors arrived at 10:00am on 1/2/20 to complete an initial inspection. All spaces to be used by the children, including the playground, were measured and inspected. The application request a capacity of 65 which is supported by the measurements taken at the inspection today. Two staff records were reviewed to determine the qualifications of the Program Director. No records were reviewed for children at the inspection today. Emergency procedures and emergency supplies along with all required postings were reviewed during the inspection. Any areas of the standards related to direct service that were not determined during the initial inspection will be determined at the first unannounced inspection following issuance of the license. All future inspections will be unannounced. The facility would like to begin operation on 1/7/20 if possible. Please contact the inspector at (757) 404-2322 if there are any questions.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-540-C Description: Based on a review of the center's first aid kit and interview, it was determined that the center did not ensure that all first kits contain all of the required items.
Evidence:
1. The first aid kit for the center did not include a thermometer and triangle bandages.
2. Staff #1 confirmed that the first aid kit did not contain all of the required items.Plan of Correction: The facility responded: We will purchase the missing items and add them to the center's first aid kit.
