Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 8:55am-12:30pm. At the time of entrance, 75 children were in care with 26 staff members present. Children were observed during diaper changes, hand washing, reading books with the teacher, snack time, painting, singing, engaged in group activities at circle time and play time in the play gallery and multipurpose room. The site was clean, organized and contained an abundant supply of developmentally appropriate materials. Interactions between the children and staff were positive. A selection of staff and children records, the physical space, evacuation drills, attendance records, injury reports and the Emergency Preparedness Plan were reviewed. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the violation notice. Please contact me if you have any questions at Stacy.Doyle@dss.virginia.gov or 571-835-0386.
