Comments:
Thank you for your time and assistance with the unannounced monitoring inspection conducted today, January 9, 2020. The on-site inspection was conducted from 10:25 a.m. to 1:50 p.m. At the time of arrival there were 70 children in seven classrooms and in the care of 12 staff members with three staff members available to assist if needed. Total enrollment for the program was 144 children. All seven classrooms were toured and observations were completed in three of those rooms. The records for seven staff members were reviewed, and seven children's records were reviewed. There were eight staff members and five children interviewed. The medication and medication paperwork were reviewed for four children. There were no violations of the licensing standards observed. Lunch was observed to meet the USDA guidelines and consisted of beef crumbles, tomato sauce, pasta, broccoli, applesauce, and milk. The current theme was "Arctic Animals." Some items observed and reviewed were: documentation of emergency evacuation, lock down, and shelter-in-place drills, diaper ointments along with parent authorizations, warm water temperature, current fire inspection, first aid kit and emergency supplies, infant care, infant feeding, diapering procedures, lunch, hand washing and bathroom procedures, nap time, painting and art activities, story time, and free play.
