Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 7:15 am-8:15 am. There were 19 children directly supervised by 3 staff. The physical plant, 4 staff required training records, 5 children?s records, 3 medications, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play, reading books, playing Lego, coloring, and dancing. Staff were observed playing with children and welcoming them during parent drop off. There was an assortment of age appropriate materials for the children in care. The center was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-E
Description: Based on a review of medication, one of three medications reviewed was not labeled with the child's name.
Evidence:
A bottle of children's antihistamine was not labeled with the child's name.

Plan of Correction: We will label the medication with the name of the child.
