Discussion of the subsidy regulations and how they apply to the Child Day Center (CDC). All 4 on site staff have completed the 10 hours of the Virginia Pre-Service Training. In addition, the Supervisor has completed the 3 hours of refresher training.

A Subsidy Health and Safety (SHSI) inspection was conducted at the YMCA after-school program held on site at Cool Spring Elementary located in the town of Leesburg, Virginia. This inspection was conducted on 01/23/2019, between the hours of 3:30 pm through 5:30 pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. An Unannounced Monitoring Inspection was also conducted on this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that were not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and were identified on the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-665-780-B Description: Based on interview, the center did not maintain a record of the dates of the drills practiced for the past year.
Evidence -
1. Staff #1 stated (during an interview conducted on the date of inspection - 01/23/2020) that a lockdown drill was conducted in November 2019.
2. This lockdown drill was not recorded on the drill log posted on the center bulletin board.Plan of Correction: All past and future (as they occur) drills shall be recorded on posted log.
